If it is below this the breakout is likely to fail and the B10 and B30 signals are unreliable unless supported by other major BUY signals. S31 1.01 S32 1.01 S33 1.01 STEPS TO TAKE USING SIMPLIFIED PEERLESS OPTION SYSTEM 1. Put an up-to-date DJI chart on the screen. Notice the pull-down menus at the top of the screen. 2. Using the SIGNALS sub-menu select SUPERIMPOSE DJI SAVED SIGNALS. 3. Using the SIGNALS sub-menu and the correct market mode - place the recent intermediate-term signals on the DJI screen. 4. List those signals. Select OPERATIONS and then pick TRADING RESULTS: ALL SIGNALS. 5. Save the most recent signals on the DJI chart by clicking UPDATE TRADES' HISTORY FILE. 6. Under FILE choose EXIT 7. Select GRAPH OEX FOR OPTIONS. 8. Select CURRENT OEX. 9. Under SIGNALS pick SUPERIMPOSE DJI SAVED SIGNALS. 10. If there is more than one recent signal on the screen - list those signals and jot them down for future reference. (Use OPERATIONS + TRADING RESULTS: ALL SIGNALS) 11. Under SIGNALS pick INDEX BREAKOUT (B30). 12. Note the position of the current OEX close vis-a-vis its 21-day moving average. This is represented by the "CL/MA" value that appears at the top of the screen. 13. If there is a B10 or B30 signal - note the annualized rate of change of the OEX mvg. avg. (roc). This is the close divided by the moving average. Usually you will want to limit your purchase of OEX CALLS to those sitiuations when a proper buy signal occurs with the CL/MA at or below .984. The PUTS should generally be bought when the CL/MA is at or above 1.016. Certain signals have different rules. The B4 B10 B14 and B30 signals have no CL/MA rules. With B9 B31 B32 and B33 signals the CL/MA value should be .99 or less. 14. Under SIGNALS select OEX OPTION SIGNALS (31 32 33 and 34) - then list them and jot them down. Do this in case other signals occur on the same day and replace the B31-B34 and S31-S33 signals. If the trend is strongly upward, without a recent reaction below the 21-day mvg. avg, the short-term sell signals will usually have little potency and should not be used to buy puts. 15. Under SIGNALS select ORIGINAL SHORT-TERM SIGNALS. The buy and sell signals numbered 25 26 27 28 29 are not numbered on the screen. You will have to list them under OPERATIONS and jot them down. 16. Under SIGNALS select NEW SHORT TERM SIGNALS (21 22 23). These generally have little value for the OEX option trader and should be disregarded. 17. Evaluate the individual signals in detail. These will show you how to close out a position before the next automatic signal if time is running out on your options. Use this OEX HELP routine and specify a particular signal. COMMON SENSE - IS THERE A DOMINANT TREND? Trade with the dominant trend as much as possible. After a B10 or S30 FRANK SNAY advises waiting for the OEX to close at least once below its 21-day moving average before taking the next sell signal on strength. It is important to appreciate that he would apply this safeguard even to circumstances where an S9 might be used. Count the number of days between taggings of the 21-day moving average. If the moving average has not been tagged for 60 straight trading days - do not argue with the tape. However - when the 21-day moving average is closed below we should consider the B34 voided and a useful signal to buy OEX puts has occurred. ================================================================== SELL S3 All Modes - Only One Signal Total - That in Mode 1 - No Losses with Excellent Gains. This is a signal that occurs at the DJI's declining moving average. It should not be used for options unless you are in MODE1. It should not be used between the last week of November and the end of the year.
