Using TC-2000 Data as Source for TigerSoft.
(C) 2016 William Schmidt 1/21/2016

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note that they do not have the data to build the
Peerless DJIA-30 Data. This must be entered by hand
or by getting it from the TigerSoft Data Page
Make ascii lists of the stocks in c:\peerless
that you want to have convert data for.
The easiest way to do this is to use the Tiger program
that builds an ascii list of all the stocks in an
active Tiger directory and places it in c:\peerless.
 (Commands: Peercomm + Peerless 2015-2016 + Edit +
  Send Symbols -> c:\peerless)
For example, build a symbols list of
all the symbols in c:\stocks
It will automatically be named
c:\peerless\stocks.txt
You could also simply use Notepad to edit the list.
(Do this as often as you wish to create a directory
of stocks or that you wish to change.)
Next subscribe to TC-2000.
Install their Version 7 Gold Version.
(They charge $30/month or $300/year.)

#1 Create an empty directory in c:\
   Name it c:\backdata
   Use Windows Explorer not Peercomm.
This will hold TC-2000 data on all items.
   (Do this only once)
#2 Log onto TC-2000 and allow their system to
put current Data in your computer. It is available
throughout the day on a 20 minutes delay. This
means you can probably get all their data in
   about 1:45 OM PCT.
(Do this as often as you wish to update.)
#3 Then Click System Watch Lists at upper left and choose
"All Items in System". This step is essential.
(Do this each time you log onto TC-2000.
#4 Click "Databank" and then "Export to Text"
Next set the exported fields as follows:
Under "Available Data Fields" Add in sequence:
       Date MM/DD/YYYY
       Volume
       Open
       High
       Low
       Close
     Under "Data Delimiter" pick "Comma"
     Under Export Files pick
       "Multiple Files (named with symbol"
Under "Number of Days To Export"
       "270"
     Under "Export Path"
       "C:\BACKDATA" or any temporary directory
you wish to use to hold ascii data temporarily.
     Under "Dates Ascending/Descending" pick "Ascending"
(Done correctly, this will only need to be done once.
TC-2000 will remember the settings of the last time.)
#5 Click th have Data EXPORTed in this ASCII format to
your computer. When this is done, close TC-2000
and using Explorer, check to see that c:\BACKDATA
has files that have been updated.

#6 Run Peercomm + Tiger Stocks + Import Data to Tiger
#7 Now Set up the following IMPORTING fields to match
the EXPORTING fields you have created using #4 above
   A) For Available Data Fields choose:
            DATE MM/DD/YYYY
            Volume 100s
            Open
            High
            Low
            Close
   B) Data Delimiter
            Comma
   C) Ascii Source Folder
c:\backdata (A different name could be used,
but the Peerless Data files require this name.)
   D) File for Relative Strength
            DJI-30.txt
   E) Tiger Folder
pick the name of any Tiger Directory you
have built using Peercomm + Select
In this example, we use STOCKS
F:)Get Symbols' List (This is the ascii symbols list you
have either created in c:\peerless or a new
one you have built somewhere else.)
            c:\peerless\stocks.txt
(Do E: and F: as often as you want to bring in data to a
             new data directory.)
